Windows 10 Wifi Driver Realtek: Benefits and Drawbacks of Using the Driver

I am unable to install Realtek Bgn Wifi Adapter driver. I have tried all possible ways, Also installed a new Wireless Adapter card and Wireless Battery. (CR 2032) Also restored from last restore point. I also got an external wireless USB card, still my wifi does not work. I also downloaded driver from HP site still doesn't work.

Hi, I installed the drivers on Ubuntu/Debian based distros but the USB wifi adapter does not automatically connect to Wifi on reboot. I also have to reconnect to my network but it saves as a new connection each time. Any suggestions?

Windows 10 Wifi Driver Realtek

I wonder if you have the latest bios for Asus N56VZ for windows 10. I upgraded from Windows 7 SP1 to Windows 10 and most things work. However, I cannot duplicate/mirror my laptop screen to external monitor even though I have updated Intel Video Driver and NVidia drivers to the latest. Also, there has been some issues where a specific program hangs. I suspect bios but could not find any update for N56VZ at the Asus Support page and I did not wish to flash a windows 8.1 bios as I read that some people got a BSOD with that.

Will these drivers work with any Asus laptop?I had tried an in place update to Win10 64 bit from Win7 64 bit but would have freezes and lock ups and boot issues, with my ASUS K72JK notebook. It would also take long to boot into.I chatted with ASUS on line and they said it sounded like a hardware issue, but it was working fine in Windows 7. They repeated that they felt 10 was not supported as they would have updated the drivers.I had checked the memory with windows memory diagnostics before the clean install and it was clean and the Sea Tools program said my drive was in good health and chkdsk did not find any issues.I have returned to Windows 7 via the recovery and two days in, not one lock up. I wonder if an update to Win 10 NOW will keep all the needed drivers.

I know that is not due to drivers. It is some service activated randomly (mostly when a mouse is connected via USB). Try to deactivate all non windows drivers and restart. It last almost one month without issues (but sometimes happens again). Then start in troubleshoot mode and mswindows, deactivate services and reactivate again.

Actually I had that same issue. I seemed to have fixed it by upping the delay protection time on startup for my antivirus software. No more BSOD driver errors and I can still use Chrome. Now, if I could fix my slow wifi after the Win10 Anniversary update. Updated to Broadcom WLAN 5.93.103.23 driver and still slow (but better). Making due in the meantime with a USB wifi adapter.

I have just installed latest Xubuntu 18.04 LTS on my new purchased low config laptop along side Windows 10 (duel boot). Everything of Installation was working fine but the Wifi is not working. Sometimes (rarely) i was able to connect to my wifi router but the network strength is too much week. My laptop uses realtek driver (may be RTL8723BU) for wifi. It is working fine in Windows 10 system. From inxi -Fxz command I found that my Network card not installed somehow. In Xumuntu I am now totally without internet. Here I want to add that I have no Wired LAN option in this laptop.

Disabling and re-enabling the network adapter, in network settings in control panel, uninstalling the network adapter and reinstalling it in device manager, updating drivers, rolling back to previous versions of drivers, checking for any outstanding windows updates using an ethernet connection.

It seems some of the hardware were not designed for Win10. HP made many workarounds including BIOS firmware updates and driver updates (yes...you need to update both BIOS and drivers). Some models will even need to update wifi card chipsets (or Wifi adapter firmware). 2ff7e9595c
